Nature is amazing, I love it so much. Nothing really makes me happier than being in a forest with the sound of the wind whistling through the trees, or running around like a crazy person in heavy summer rain.
When I take peoples pictures, I try and bring the environment into those photographs too, as the location is an important part of any shoot and inspires me in lots of ways.
I didn’t want my love for nature to stop at just the photoshoot however, I wanted it to translate through the whole experience a couple has with me. I desperately wanted to bring nature in to my products while keeping them as eco-friendly as possible. So here’s my brand new natural photography packaging for wedding clients..
As you can see, I’ve ditched the plastic casing and filling and replaced it with a beautiful engraved wooden box which contains a wooden USB. The box is filled with natural moss and scattered rosebuds and a few sample 6″ x 4″ prints are carefully tied together with twine. A little selection of chocolate treats are sent in a small hessian bag and all cards are made with recycled paper.
I ordered the gorgeous wooden box and USB from Wooden Banana – who specialise in natural photography packaging. They have several box options, including USB only boxes, square boxes and a box for USB and discs. You can even order a sample to see how your logo would look on a box.
The business and thank you cards were ordered from Moo.com (get 20% off your first order with this link) who have recycled paper options on lots of their printing products. Look for their ‘Green Business Cards’.
I found the Hessian Bags from a UK company on Amazon and the Moss/Rosebuds came from florist in Hampshire.
If you have any more ideas on how I can keep my business as natural and eco-friendly as possible, please let me know. I’m always open to making positive changes that will help the environment.
